The Lion King
The Lion King Pride Rock is ruled by an ethno-lion pride in the Pride Lands of Africa. Rafiki the mandrill is the kingdom’s advisor and shaman. Scar is Mufasa’s younger brother.
Mufasa shows Simba the Pride Lands as a cub and explains his role. Simba is instructed by Mufasa to stay clear of the elephant graveyard. However, Simba and his best friend are encouraged to visit the graveyard by three hyenas Shenzi and Banzai. Mufasa is alerted by his majordomo Zazu, his majordomo Hornbill Zazu, who tries to rescue the cubs. While Simba is upset that he didn’t follow his instructions and put Nala as well as himself in danger, Mufasa forgave him and explained that the great kings of the past watched over the cubs from the skies of night which is the same place he will watch over Simba. Scar was the one who been planning the attack, goes to the Hyenas, and persuades them to take down Mufasa, Simba, and give them hunting rights in Pride Lands.
Scar creates a trap for Simba and Mufasa, luring Simba into a gorge and making the hyenas send the large herd of wildebeest into a stampede to trample him. Mufasa is able to save Simba however, he ends being hung in danger from the gorge’s edge. He begs Scar for his help but Scar forces Mufasa to the stampede, which leads to his death. Scar tricks Simba into thinking that the incident was his fault, and tells him to go out of the Kingdom and never return. He then orders the hyenas to take out Simba, but Simba manages to escape. Scar who is unaware of Simba’s life, shares his pride over the stampede that killed Mufasa, Simba and Scar, and he takes over in as the new King and allows the Pride Lands to be occupied by the Hyenas.
After Simba is thrown into a desert, he’s rescued by two outcasts who are also outcasts: Timon and Pumbaa and which is a meerkat as well as a warthog. Simba lives in an oasis with his new companions, and lives a happy life. An adult Simba rescues Timon as well as Pumbaa from an envious lioness who turns out to be Nala. She and Simba fall in love, and she encourages him to return home. She informs Simba that the Pride Lands have become a drought-stricken wasteland under Scar’s reign. Simba, still feeling guilty about Mufasa’s death refuses to go and storms off. Rafiki says to Simba that Mufasa is with him. Simba is visited at night by the spirit of Mufasa who informs him that he has to take his rightful place among the kings. After Rafiki suggests Simba to learn from his past, rather than run away from it, Simba decides to return to the Pride Lands.
Simba, aided by his companions, sneaks through Pride Rock’s hyenas, and then confronts Scar. Scar is shocked to see Simba alive. Scar insults Simba over his role in the death of Mufasa and then drags him up to the edge the rock, where Simba informs Simba that he was the one who killed Mufasa. Scar is furious and Simba responds by telling Scar the truth to the other. Timon, Pumbaa Rafiki and Zazu fight off the hyenas while Scar tries to escape from Simba on a ledge located at the top of Pride Rock. Scar pleads for mercy and blames his crimes on the hyenas; Simba saves his life, however, he orders him to leave the Pride Lands forever. After a brief battle, Scar is thrown off the ledge and to the ground below by Simba. Scar survives the fall, but the hyenas, which heard Scar blaming them, maul him to death.
Simba becomes king and Nala becomes queen. Rafiki is crowned King, with the Pride Lands restored and Nala as his queen, presents Simba’s cubs to animals. This completes the circle of life.
